Daniela was born in Freiburg, Germay, to brasilian parents.

After growing up in Brazil, Daniela returned to Europe in 1986, living first in Portugal and then in Holland..

She currently resides in Munich with her Dance Terapist husband  Roland Schankula, and their two sons, Lucas and Gabriel.
